History

Megan was inspired by the Denver Community Museum challenge titled “29.” After learning that mystics believe the 29th year of life is a great time of change and significance, Megan decided to be proactive and ensure this to be true for her own life.

Sound turned 29 on June 29, 2009 and decided a golden birthday just wouldn't do. She declared that year her “power year.” She explored, coordinated special events, and completed various creative projects.

A power year is when creativity and pragmatism come together.

Process

Specifics vary for each individual. However, a power year typically includes:

  • Identifying values (lived and aspirational)

  • Soul nourishing experiences

  • Reflection on how to contribute positively to the world

At least once a day, allow yourself the freedom to think and dream for yourself.
